The Silent Scream of This Generation

Every generation has had to experience a devastating obstacle that seems to make or break the spirit of humanity. In the early days of the Revolution, Americans fought under the boot of tyranny. As we broke free and learned to fly, brother was pitted against brother in the Civil War while a people that suffered brutality on every level was freed. As innovation took us into the 20th century, progress seemed to steal the soul of our nation as we bowed to greed. Now, just 20 years into the 21st century, a deafening silent scream has hit our ears, causing us to pay attention - finally.

In 2020, we have seen sexual abuse invade the very fabric of our society. The American Association for Family and Marriage Therapy cites one out of every five girls are sexually abused, most notably by a trusted family member. Equally as sad, one out of every 20 boys in our culture experiences sexual abuse.

As more and more revelations come out from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, Americans realize the depths of evil our children are experiencing. Sex trafficking is at an all-time high, and even the highest leaders in the land are guilty. Children as young as 12 years old were taken to Epstein’s fantasy island to be molested, raped, manipulated, and thrown away.

Our children learned that sexual abuse is a taboo subject, and voicing such an atrocity should not be mentioned. But their wounds didn’t heal, and today, they are screaming for America to stand up and take notice. The silent scream of sexual abuse and deviance has invaded our land, and if parents don’t speak out, we will lose our generation of children to a skewed image of genuine love and acceptance.

On September 1, 2020, When Faith Fails - the Aftermath of Sexual Abuse will be released on offering insights into the torrid ordeal of Kathryn and Kara’s experience of sexual abuse. It is told from the mother’s perspective and echoes the torture of millions of parents all over America. It is a parent’s cry for her child while screaming for America to arouse her conscience and take notice. Wake up, parents! The enemy is upon us!
